Yes we do get lots of good training here, but that training comes from ASA, not from NFHS or any other organization.
Of course I'm envious of the umpire of which you speak. My wife hates that I always refer to myself as a Texan. She tells me I've been in Indiana long enough that I can call myself a Hoosier. She also hates that I've "brainwashed" my youngest DD into having UT be her first college choice rather than IU. I can sense March will be a tense time in our household with me picking UT for the Final Four and having all the Indiana schools knocked out before the Sweet 16
