No...if the shot is in the air, it will still count.

The only time there is a difference based on offensive or defensive foul is if the shooter has started his/her shooting motion but hasn't yet released the ball. In that situation, an offensive foul would cause the ball to become dead immediately, while continuation would apply to a defensive foul and the shot would still count.
