I saw that and was a little confused by it. Why would this be needed only in end-of-half situations? What is an end-of-half situtation (i.e. how much time left)?

This seems to say that Trail normally doesn't chop the clock if the ball is on the endline. I've also heard that it is optional for the trail to chop.
