Unless your supervisor has a very specific procedure the administering official does not "chopping" for most throw-ins. The only time when this is not done mechanically, is when the ball is below the FT line extended and the Trail has the count and the chop. There are some that believe the Trail should chop on all half court situations even if the ball is on the end line. I am not a fan of that last mechanic, but I know people who advocate this and teach it.
