Cecil is much nicer than I am. I will just tell you that you are flat-out
wrong. There is absolutely no grounds for the referee penalizing the coach in any way for simply pulling his team off the field, and certainly showing him a red card is out of the question under the FIFA Lotg.
Under the Lotg coaches are NEVER shown cards. The cards are reserved for only the players and the named substitutes.
If the coach uses profane language, then that is grounds for dimissing him from the technical area, but still a red card would not be displayed.
So, in closing, let me say it again, the act of pulling his team by itself is not something that is punishable by the referee, that must be dealt with by the league authority or responsible governing body.
