NCAA: Blood on jersey

Had a game last week with 2 guys that had some blood on their jersey. Told the coach they needed to wash that out, which they did. Interestingly, the water pretty much took care of it. I was under the impression however, that they had to stay out of the game. Not remembering the specific rule, I let it go with the washing since that seemed to work fine.

I get home, check the rule, and find out that rule 1 is really the only place that discusses it. Obviously, we direct a player that's bleeding to the bench, but only in the approved ruling does it discuss uniforms with blood on them -- and says saturated (i.e. wet) only has to be changed. I'll admit I was thinking of the basketball rule that says they have to change.

Is this the only place in the NCAA book that discusses blood on the jersey?
