Since a particular game was not indicated, let me ask this of a SP game.

At one time, there was a rule in SP that if there was a caught fly ball on the 3rd strike in foul territory, the ball is dead, the strike out recorded and, obviously, no runners could advance.

Is that still the case? Never understood the reasoning behind it, but it was rules like that which was one of the minor factors which drove my team away from NSA tournaments.
