That's right.

You might wonder why the batter is awarded 1B when he strikes out and the pitch lodges in a mask. The rationale is this: on strike 3 not legally caught, the runner is entitled to run to 1B. Since the lodged ball is dead, the BR is awarded the base. We don't penalize the offense for mistakes (failing to catch the pitch) by the defense.
