Not sure why you have to be a "smitty" to have this point of view? Most of us cannot control the ratings we get and I know I do not spend my time worrying about those types of things. If you are good, you are good and the average umpire will get noticed if you are doing the right things. Also who cares what people think about your performance when the people that have that opinion are not trained to give a competent opinion in the first place?
