Dan makes some great points about the differences in how we handle people and how they handle themselves in the rec/AAu environments. Probably this would not have happened in a school sanctioned games because most of the coaches and assistants vaguely know the rules and are better able to recognize when they are close to crossing the line. Also, a good reminder about going through the head coach. This puts the (other) monkey (pun intended)on his back which is appropriate because he will be penalized for the assistants actions as well.
