Angry FAX THE LETTER IMMEDIATELY

Mightyvol:

I, too, am an official in Minnesota. I had the same situation in a game last season. Of course it was the first game of the year so it got the season off to a flying start. Here is what happened:
The game was hyped for a couple of weeks since it was a rematch of the two teams that met in the section finals the previous year. The game went to overtime. Visitors up one with about five seconds left. They are passing the ball around the perimiter when they skipped the ball inside to a wide open player on the low block. Player goes up for the easy uncontested shot when we have an opposing player push her in the back. I come in with an immediate intentional foul. They get two shots and the ball, game over.

After the game, the head coach comes to us and shakes our hands and says "good game guys, you'll never work another f&^%ing game here again!"

We were pretty shocked because we thought we called an excellent game. Usually after a girls game you question yourself, but this game we had a good feeling until that last slam by the home coach.

Well, we filled out the report when we were eating after the game and I faxed it in to the state office. Got a call from the A.D. on monday morning asking about the incident.

The bush league result of all of that was no apology from the school or the coach and no games the following year.

I guess the coach was right!
