i have been a basketball official in the state of minnesota for 9 years and i have never seen this. the other night i went to watch a game in the area. i take the opportunity to go and watch other officials work if i have the chance. this is a good way for me to learn. anyhow, i happenend to know the 2 officials working the game. the game was a difficult game to work. there were numerous block/charge calls in the game. it just so happens that the home team coach felt like he wasnt getting the calls. after the game i went to the locker room to talk to the guys and talk about the game. low and behold the head coach of the home team comes through a door that is connected to the officials room. upon entry he tells them "how awful they were and that they wouldnt work in his gym again." i was wondering what you as an official would do about this. does this action grant a letter to the state offices or what. thanks for the response.
