It does seem that as you add years to your services, that coaches do respect a veteran more. I've seen them jump on a rookie, just because, even though he had no right to jump on him. And I've seen a veteran blow a big call and the coach not say a word.

What is important that you establish yourself as a "take care of business" type. Once the word gets out that you handle coaches in a freindly, but firm manner, they will leave you alone.
