Yes, the shot counts. The technical foul is assessed directly to the player on the bench, and also charged indirectly to the head coach. The coach no longer has the privilege of using the coaching box at that point (if Kansas uses a coaching box).

Sure. Once you warned the coach about the bench, you could have called the technical on the second outburst. But you took care of the situation, and I certainly wouldn't fault you for it.
