I agree. Especially since you're giving him the credit for bing right by having him nod when you look at B1. It says that he hadn't understood the rule about standing up for his call (six pages in anthter thread), and actually he was right about the situation. I just hope you didn't say to the coach literally, "I screwed the pooch." If you use that vocabulary, then why wouldn't it be okay for the coach to use it later?
