At least the NF and NCAA Men's say that if the officials make this call we are going to give this a double foul. It is harder for a coach to complain in my opinion. They might not like it, but at least they do not feel the officials completely screwed them. If officials know they are only going to go with one of the calls, then screw it if I signal something I saw (without the appropriate communication) because it will not matter either way. Now that is my opinion, it does not mean you have to agree.
