i agree with you guys....but, i am reviewing a 2003 ncaa rules test. their answer is that the pitch is a ball - batter stays at plate. any runners on base return TOP. 2006 BRD sec 80, p63-64 seems to agree with the test. " a batter is hit by the pitch if it touches him or his clothing when he is in a 'legal batting position'". it then defines "legally in the box" as "the batter's entire body is within the lines of the batter's box". these questions are killing me. is this another case of a recent rule change??
