I understand what you were saying. But I do not respect nor agree with your...foundation of judgement upon the referee. As you said, you never speak ill of your colleagues. He's one of them. That's hypocritical.
Jurassic Referee -
Thank you for understanding what I was saying.
Mark Padgett -
Thanks.

TXMATTHEW05:
You are missing my point. I am not making any negative comments about the two officials (one each night) regarding their ability to officiate a basketball game. I cannot evaluate (notice I do not use the phrase constructive criticism, which in an oxymoron) an official without seeing him officiate, and I do evaluate officials. You made statements about their conduct as officials and if your statements are true, then these two officials have violated some of the basic canons of ethics of sports officiating.
All officials, myself included have kicked calls, doggie doo doo happens, and we all work very hard to keep these calls to a minimum over the course of a season. That is why Divisiona I and NBA/WNBA officials are evaluated every night. But officials who violate the codes of ethics of sports officials are to be held accountable for their unethical conduct. And if your statements are to believed, then these officials are guilty of unethical conduct. And you, calling an official an idiot is unexcusable. For all we know the calling official did get the correct player for the foul and you and non-calling official got it incorrect. And the two officials that made derogatory comments about the third official may be jealous of that official's ability to officiate. There are people like that in all professions.
As I have suggested to you in an earlier posting, please read either the NASO or NFHS code of ethics for sports officials.
