We did not know that when we bought it last year and he suffered a concussion when a foul ball BROKE one of the welds that hold the bars together. I took one shot and it caved in the right side of the mask. Personally, I would not trust this mask and ANY level.

If your looking for a replacement, Diamond just came out with a new mask that is one of the lightest on the market (and does NOT sacrifice saftey). Also, All-Star has a really light double bar mask (the bars are really thin) and a few of the big leaguers have switched to it.
i was wondering if it was just my mask that did this, but mine was also severely dented. in a game this past weekend, which is my last one on the schedule for the summer, i took a very hard shot and it added another bent bar to the mix. i wont be using it anymore, and will be looking to get a different model
