I am confused....are you mortified because you sold a close third strike that ended a championship game?? I always thought that is exactly WHEN you sell something...Case in point:
PONY 14U tournament, I am working my 4th straight..last two behind the plate. Home team is down one run...one out runner on third..I am thinking..'uh-ohhhhh'..B hits the ball to F6, who looks R1 back, then proceeds to start a CLASSIC 6-3-2 DP.. F6 gunned it to F1, who wheeled and threw perfectly to the C, who applied a perfect tag on R1 JUST in time....beautiful play, you cannot coach it any better..now...do you think I SOLD that sucker???? Talk about finishing a long day in perfect style..
Now did anyone complain? Of course not! They knew I had not been overselling stuff the whole game, so when I REALLY sold that last play, everyone KNEW I got it right!
