Slow down, slow down, slow down.
I can pretty much guarantee that you need to slow down. Relax, see the whole play, be patient. Whistle, raise your arm, and bird dog if that's what the want you to do. Don't do all three at the same time and go running at the player. Take your time and let it come to you.
