Hey Everyone,
I have a few questions and am seeking some advice from my fellow "brothers in blue".
Rule Questions:
(all rule ref. regard only NFHS rules) (I don't have my rule books with me)
1) If a batted ball gets caught within an infielder's shirt, is it a dead ball? Live? Awards?
2) Same question, but with a thrown ball. *(Also, I believe in fed ball that a thrown ball in the shirt is not possession)
3) If a ball gets lodged inside a fielders glove, can he throw it to make a play? (I know it is legal in MLB but I was unsure in Fed)
4) If you eject a batter while still at bat, does that constitute an out as well? (erase the count, and a new batter) (I would believe so)
Advice Needed About Umpire Academy:
I am still in college finishing up a dual major in Criminal Justice/Psychology. Currently I was strongly considering going to Jim Evans for the winter. Now with the strike, *(not saying I would be that good) I don’t know if it is the best idea. I know it would be a great experience but I am still undecided… Any tips?
