Associations usually carry policies for their members - check with the secretary if you belong to one. Also, many homeowners policies include a personal liability policy (or offer one), and that's a worthwhile investment too.
Remember: when (not if) injury happens in our country, lawyers often get involved, and lawyers always name as many parties as they can think of to the lawsuit. You might not have any judgment awarded against you, but the legal fees for defending yourself can run into tens of thousands of dollars - and that's quite a few game fees, at least where I work. Liability insurance covers the cost of legal defense, plus any judgment that might go against you.
I would not step on the field without adequate liability insurance.
