I don't see how it is any different than say a runner on first and a hit to the second baseman. The runner on first interferes with the second baseman. Dead ball, runner coming from first out on interference and with less than 2 outs, BR is put on first. If two outs you don't put them on first but that BR is not the lead off batter next inning, their turn at bat is done. Dave
