My guess is that whether F1 comes off the rubber or not when feinting to 3rd has nothing to do with the umpire's decision to call (or
not call) a balk when the pitcher feints to 1st.
I'll bet it has
everything to do with the simple fact that nobody ever makes that call - one way or the other - notwithstanding the FED casebook examples.
