I've seen replays of games that John Wooden coached. To the TV camera it looked like he did nothing but sit calmly on the end of the bench - we know he was good at quietly chewing on officials but that's another thread.
Anyway, he was able to be relatively successful without having to pace up & down the sideline like a hungry animal in a cage.
