Here's the rest of the story...
I turned with my whistle in hand ready to put it to my lips and I decided against it and issued a stern warning.
I said, "You're walking a very fine line Coach!" He immediately apologized and we went on with the game. The girls on both teams played too good a game for it to end with a T on the coach.
I have to admit, though, that the little voice in my head kept saying that I was being too soft and the worst part was I felt like I wasn't protecting my partner.
