I agree with you JR that we don't have the right/power to TELL them and there isn't any rule to back us up. That is why I said REQUEST. If coach is adamant against your REQUEST, explain the problem. It's OK to practice your SHOOTING, but it is against rules to practice DUNKING. What the heck, it's worth a try. Most coaches may not have a problem with your request. Our association stresses how well we deal with coaches and we have scored very high in this area. It has made our job of officiating easier.

Why don't you just go over to to the coaches as soon as you get out in the floor in the pre-game and say "please tell your players not to dunk?".
