No, I don't think so. We don't have that right or the power to tell the coaches what to do during half-time. I've had coaches make their kids stay out on the floor and practise their shooting at half-time. No rule against it. [/B][/QUOTE]
I agree with you JR that we don't have the right/power to TELL them and there isn't any rule to back us up. That is why I said REQUEST. If coach is adamant against your REQUEST, explain the problem. It's OK to practice your SHOOTING, but it is against rules to practice DUNKING. What the heck, it's worth a try. Most coaches may not have a problem with your request. Our association stresses how well we deal with coaches and we have scored very high in this area. It has made our job of officiating easier.
