As I understand, Dick Bavetta once said "...it's not my call..." to which a coach replied, "Whose call is it, the popcorn guys?" What if that coach said something that might have warranted a T, and Dick rang him up? It is clear that the situation was escalated with the comment, "...it's not my call."
The possibility exists that Eli said something that was inappropriate. We just don't know.

The NBA will not suspend him, we both know that. If there is any punishment that is warranted, it will be done in private. We will never know.
I don't disagree with you that Brown's comment was personal and possibly T-able. When I read the original post, there was only one-third of the dialogue reproduced. How can you get the full story from such a lack of evidence?

Evidence of the stop sign, please. What if on that play, JR, LB had a good point? How do you know he didn't? Maybe if you posted the entire story, or a link.........
To me, so far it sounds like the original story was poorly written.
