03/04 Case Book Comment on 10.3.5 - The purpose of the rule is to penalize
intentional contact with the backboard while a try is involved or placing the hand on the backboard to gain an advantage.
If your judgement is his intent was to try to block the shot, you got nothin. If your judgement was he
intentionally hit the backboard to cause the ball to fall off the ring or to vent frustration or draw attention to himself, then you have a T.
