This week on Paul Harvey at noon and again in the Detroit Free Press there was a story about a HS FB team in Loveland, Colorado who sprayed Pam on their uniforms before the game. According to the Free Press this was done on the orders of the Head Coach.

According to the Free Press Loveland won the game 20-12. The Coach has been suspended for all playoff games and one Assistant for one game.

Does anyone have the particulars on this situation and the subsequent rulings? How and when did the Loveland team get caught? Why didn't game Officials catch the illegal substance early in the game? If they did were the players ejected? Was the Coach ejected? Did Loveland have to forfeit the game? If not, why not?

Should such a team even be allowed in the playoffs?

According to the broadcast the CHSAA's only statement was "Thank goodness this doesn't happen too often!" I am sure they are grateful for that but I would think they would have A more serious response to what must surely contradict all that HS sports stands for.

I know the details often get turned around when reported in the press so I have withheld any judgement until the facts are in.

Does anyone have those facts?
