Situation: Regional Final game. B leads 14-10. 4th quarter. 4/8 A's ball at the A-15. Time: 00:15. A lines up in full house backfield. A12 (qb) bootlegs to the right and hits A89 (te) who is WIDE OPEN at the A-32. He turns up field and begins a mad dash to the GL, about 1-2 yards off the team B's side line.
It is evident that no one is going to catch him as he is pulling away from the defense. At the B-28 yard line B65 (who was NOT on the field) steps on the field and trips him, in an effort to protect the win. A89 stumbles and falls at the B-20. Time has expired.
A) None of the officials saw B65 step on the field (as the wing and BJ were already down field and it happened behind them.) U, HL, & R missed him stepping on the field, (screened by the players.)
B) Wing official saw it happen and after the trip, A44 blasts him in the back and continues to drive him down to the ground throwing punches.
C)A's coach sees it happen aand is now 1/2 across the field running and screeming his head off at B.

NOTE: I reveresed your A's and B's to assist myself and others in making a ruling.
First, if any official saw this, flagged it, and reported it to me at R, I would invoke the unfair acts rule and award team A the score, no question! A now wins 16-14. A44 will be ejected for throwing punches and B65 will also be ejected and I will file the required report to my state association. I will get both coaches together, explain what we saw, and what our ruling is. I will then get off the field with my crew using the necessary police escort.
