We don't teach that mechanic, although I have heard it is used in some parts of the country. Our modus operandi is when Lead crosses, he's just going to help, he still has the "other sideline, and if the ball reverses, then it's Lead's responsibility to remember how he got over there.

This is all very good stuff that you bring up, but I think, maybe, my partner just isn't used to having help over there, or he just cramped a little..., and the whole thing was laughable.
