I was working with a good partner tonight, we've worked together before only a few times.
Front court throw-in, table side, near mid court.
I'm lead (2-man).
As I normally do, I cross to strong side for the throw-in and turn back about 45 degrees to the lane to see if anything is gonna happen on that side and when nothing happens I wander back across the lane.
This time the throw was deep to strong side and all of a sudden, I've got the ball and six players in my lap. I'm still looking at the lane as the ball starts toward the paint.
I see my partner bailing out and going across the top (opposite) so I back out toward the sideline to get a better look at the action. I'm thinking, "That's cool he gave it up to me cuz I'm only 6' from the play, and he's gonna go watch the lane from the top." It was a good flex!
In the showers he mentioned how confused he was when he noticed that we were both on the same side, so he just went to the other side.
I had to explain to him how smart we were. He agreed.
