Delays
Brad's right. Some delays are penalized immediately; like the free thrower not being in the circle when the official is ready to administer. I should have been more specific in my earlier post. There are 3 types of delay warnings that may be given to a team. They are:
1) Defender breaks the plane of the throw-in;
2) Teammates delay free throw administration by huddling;
3) Defender holds ball after a made basket.
Each of these violations carries a warning first, and then penalty. So a team could get a warning for each (3 total) before it is assessed a T.
