Why call a girls game different from a boys game? I think this is one of the biggest complaints of coaches and players of girls teams.

With the girls you generally will have a quicker whistle, especially on possible jump ball situations. The girls overall seem to get more physical than the boys do. It is much less likely that if you let boys just play, they will not go nuts. Girls get emotional faster and thus things get more physical faster. I'm sure other people can point out other things as well.

Girl's games have more held ball situations because too many officials, working those games, call unnecessary held balls, and allow players to come across arms or hug from behind, while the players are standing, to tie it up instead of calling a foul.

The girls are not more physical, there is just more contact because the game is played horizontally.

Girls do not get more physical faster. Boys react immediately and then it's usually over. A girl "wronged" in the first quarter will look to get "even" in the third quarter.
