I am very interested in becoming a basketball offical. I am planning to play college basketball next year, and eventually coach. I would like to get some experience officiating to help me better understand the game of basketball and gain appreciation for officials. What steps would you recommend I take to get started? Are there classes, clubs, tests I need to be involved in? I live in the Huntington Beach, CA area. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated!
