I refer to the lineup the coach game me at the plate meeting, as marked up by me for subs entering, etc.

I don't use either scorebook as official wrt the lineup. The official lineup is in my back pocket.

Unless there is an "official official" scorekeeper, "Mom" (or assistant coach, or injured player, or...) might be the "official" book for league stats, score, etc., but "Mom" is not an unbiased game official. I don't rely on her for anything, usually.

If a dispute arises dealing with non-lineup things (such as the score), then if it can't be resolved between the two books, then home is official.

To keep the possibility of just such a tempest from arising, with "unofficial official" scorekeepers, I make some effort during the game to assure everyone is in sync wrt innings and score.
