BobM, that's pretty funny. Not the injuries you received but the way you described it. I don't have any stories of me but a couple of years ago I was the R working a 6 man football game here in Texas. The U in a sixman game works deeper than a normal U, almost like a B. There was a pass play and the ball was in the air going right towards him. Once the passer was in no danger of being roughed my eyes sort of followed the pass so I seen it all, and he did all he could do to get out of the way. The ball seemed to have some sort of laser tracking system on it. No matter which way he moved the ball seemed to follow him. I think it was more his judgement on which track the ball was actually following. Needless the say the ball hit him smack dab in the middle of the face and he hit the deck (might add he was a larger fellow) and done a perfect back somersault and popped back to his feet. He got a standing ovation from both sides of the field.
