If A1 was not dribbling and had player control of the ball when he touched the floor with anything but his hand and/or foot, it's a travel.

2) a1 while dribbling falls but maintains his dribble & gets up. i was told by an experienced offical that whenever a player falls w/ the ball it's traveling. but during my training i remember hearing that if the person maintains his dribble, it's not a travel.


Tell that "experienced official" to get a rule book and read it. It is a fundamental rule of basketball (NF fundamental rule #6, in fact) that you cannot travel while dribbling.
