Do we have any California Federation umpires here?
The reason I ask is that I had the opportunity to work with some So Cal teams this last week at Disney and found some interesting rules.

In California, it seems, jewelry is always legal so long as it is taped up. No one has ever called it illegal.
Both feet have to be in contact with the pitchers plate (shades of ASA)
An illegal pitch is a dead ball, no pitch.
A slap bunt is an out when foul (if you have two strikes)
The only illegal bats are those that the other team is using, even if you have the same one in your dugout.
Mouth pieces are illegal for use by defensive players.

I always knew California could be a strange place but some of these rules caught me off guard.
