Cooperstown was great. I was there June 16-22 this year. Hat, jacket, shirts, ball bag, room (barracks style) and board (cafeteria style), and a ticket to the Hall of Fame are all free of charge in exchange for umpiring for the week. I umped 19 games in 5 days - some 2 man, most three or four man.
This was the highlight of my 6 year career. The other "guest umpires" from all aroud the country were a lot of fun and were great to be partnered with.
Can't wait till I can come back next year.
