Another tweak - Instead of catching the ball, the airborne player bats the ball to the floor, beginning his dribble, with the ball bouncing in the backcourt, before he lands in the backcourt. BC or not?

Still a violation in both cases as A2 still had front court status, giving the ball front court status as soon as he touched it. Once the ball subsequently touches the floor in backcourt, it is a violation if any team A player is first to touch it.
