I think that I'm glad that the guys were backed up after the fact. That's a heckuva tough call to make, but if they felt that the call had to be made because of unsporting conduct/taunting concerns, then they should be backed to the hilt. They were the people on the spot- not the ones' sitting here tapping away on a keyboard. Sometimes, it boils down to whather we or our customers actually believe in some of the tenets of sportsmanship, or whether we just pay lip service to it.

I don't know for sure but I'd be confident that if they did the officials would have been supported. Our commissioner mentioned at a subsequent association meeting under the topic of officials jursidiction....that the T's were still callable even though time had expired.
