The exact same thing happened to me. Now, I ended up with a fractured navicular bone and was in a cast for six weeks, followed by a month of being in a splint. Get to the doctor ASAP - the sooner the better.
As for the coach, you should have
definately assesed the technical foul penalty. He deliberately made a direct attack on your integrity - I for one wouldn't tolerate it. No good to think about the "shoulda, coulda, wouldas," but just for next time.
I hope your wrist doesn't end up broken!
