In Pennsylvania, a foul by B on the try is enforced in overtime. If the foul by B is on a successful 1 point try, A will have the option of keeping the point and have the penalty enforced in overtime, or taking a 1/2 the distance and replay the down. If the penalty is on a successful 2 point conversion, A will obviously have the penalty enforced in overtime. If the penalty will be carried over it is imperative that the coaches understand what the penalty will be before they choose offense, defense or end of the field. Penalties for any dead ball fouls or UC, are also enforced in the OT in the order of their occurence, again the coaches need to be made aware of their options. Other states may have their own set of overtime rules, PA uses the overtime procedure outlined in the NF book.
