Back in the day, my grandmother used to make my uncle his beanbags (not throw down markers, but for touch football they are used instead of yardsticks) She used real beans, about a week after a few rain games, she noticed this really wierd smell coming from his bag, she traced it down to the bean bags, and found a few bean plants in them. The next time she made them, she used aquarium graval. Doesn't really help that much, but it's a funny story.

I use a Cliff Keen bean bag, and it too swells up when wet, even on a humid day, it starts to swell, it's a pain in the ass, next time I make a trip down to Honigs, I'm getting a sand filled bag.

I noticed that most of the NFL officials have bean bags like that, and I too would like to know where to find them, as the one i'm using right now has very little space between the two sections that have the "beans" in them, and I feel that my bag is too wide.
