I know we are already discussing alot in pre-game, but this situation could be something to bring up. A simple agreement with the base ump to rule no swing in this situation allows you to appeal the swing and stay with a ball call. Everybody is happy. The defense got their appeal the runner was put in jeopardy and nobody is the wiser.
