For NCAA games it is optional to wear the flag on the left sleeve.
Some associations (mine is one) wear the flag on the back of the shirt 1 inch below the neck.
As BktBallRef said, check with our local association/officials. If you don't have to carry/buy multiple shirts for multiple flag setups, it's a benefit.
I carry 4 shirts at various times:
* flag on back
* flag on left sleeve
* no flag
* Grey with pinstripes
It makes for a very full bag.
